Karen trained as a nurse in the late 1980’s and is currently working as a Junior Sister in the local hospital’s Diabetes Care Department. Karen has one daughter.
Karen first became interested in Titanic while studying for her ‘O’ levels. Whilst studying modern History she had to ‘compare and contrast’ a pre and post industrial revolution item. She chose the “Cutty Sark” and “RMS Titanic” and obtained a second hand copy of Walter Lord’s “A Night To Remember”. Her project got a B+ and she became hooked! Karen became Youth Officer in September 2011.
