Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Does the time of year I join the Society determine what issues of the Atlantic Daily Bulletin I receive?
Our membership year runs from the 1st April to the 31st March the following year. You are free to join at any time.
If you join later in the membership year, when copies of the Atlantic Daily Bulletin have already been sent out, you will receive the back issues that have been issued so far in the membership year and future issues as they become available.
Our journal is published quarterly and posted out in June, September, December and March.
If you apply for membership in the last month of the membership year, we will assume, unless you state otherwise, you are applying for membership for the following year.
Can I submit an article for the Atlantic Daily Bulletin?
We actively encourage members to submit articles for inclusion in the Atlantic Daily Bulletin.
It can appear a little daunting at first to write an article, especially if you haven’t done one before, but we will give you all the assistance you require to get your work ready for publication. If you wish to know more then please e-mail our Editor Tim Silcocks.
I would like someone to give a talk on Titanic – can this be arranged?
We receive many requests to give talks and lectures. Our officers are always delighted to undertake these, but for any reason it is not possible we can usually put you in touch with a society member who will do the talk instead.
The society does not get involved in fees and travel costs. These must be negotiated between yourselves and the person undertaking the lecture.
Can I reproduce or use the text and photos / images on this site?
